Kia ora Brigid,

We'll be saying goodbye to half-price fares on 30 June. This is because the Government's half price discount on public transport ends.

The great news is that there is a range of new concessions available for those under 25 and Community Service Card holders*.

From 1 July, new concessions are available for under 25s:

  • Free travel for children under 13.
  • 50% discount for young people under 25.

Plus, if you're a Community Services card holder, you can get a 50% discount from 1 July by applying for the Community Connect concession

*Applies to AT timetabled bus, train and ferry services, excludes Waiheke and tourist ferries (Rakino, Rangitoto etc). Children aged 5-12 must have a registered AT HOP card. AT HOP terms apply.
