Kia ora,

It seems we’re going to remain at Alert Level 3 for a bit longer. To help you travel to a COVID-19 vaccination drop-in location or your pre-booked appointment, we’re providing free travel on buses and trains. To access this offer, you must:

  • Be going to or coming back from either your first or second COVID-19 vaccination on your day of travel. This offer is available every day of the week.
  • Wear a face covering while on-board all buses and trains as well as at bus stops, stations and platforms if you are over the age of 12.
  • Scan the QR code onboard your service using the NZ COVID Tracer app and tell the bus driver or train gate line staff that you are traveling to get your COVID-19 vaccination.

You do not need to scan your AT HOP card as travel to get your vaccine is free.

Super Saturday

If you or your whānau haven't received your first vaccination yet, join us on Super Saturday, 16 October and together we'll get it done and dusted. Vaccine clinics will be open all day and into the evening, so you can show up anytime and get it done.

The Auckland City Centre Bus Plan proposes to make the buses, the transport system and the city centre better for all Aucklanders. The plan aims to make sure that the bus network can continue to operate into the future and meet the needs of our growing city. It will also help us achieve our wider plan for Auckland, the City Centre Masterplan. Once finalised the City Centre Bus Plan will be delivered in the next 5-10 years.

We’d love to hear your thoughts - please submit your feedback below before 24 October.

Midtown regeneration – Te Hā Noa and Wellesley Street bus improvements

We’re working with our friends at Auckland Council to make improvements to the midtown area in the city centre in time for the opening of City Rail Link’s Aotea Station in 2024. To make this happen we’ve stopped buses from travelling along Victoria Street to allow for the first stage of Te Hā Noa – Victoria Street linear park, to begin. Te Hā Noa will allow the space between Albert Street and Kitchener Street to flourish and become more pedestrian friendly thanks to improvements such as wider footpaths, new cycling facilities and new green spaces. We’re also going to be making some improvements to bus infrastructure and the pedestrian environment on Wellesley Street West between Albert Street and Queen Street.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on both projects. Please submit your feedback before 3 November using the link here.
