Auckland Transport Update

Kia ora,

Bus, train and ferry services will continue to run to assist those needing to complete essential travel during Alert Level 4.

If you need to make an essential trip, please use the AT Journey Planner on either the AT Mobile app or the AT website to plan your journey in advance. This will help you see how much room there is onboard your upcoming service, which will help with physical distancing. It will also alert you of any timetable changes.

Timetable changes

From Friday 20 August, there will be some changes to our regular scheduled services, and these will be updated in Journey Planner from Friday morning.

Bus timetable changes

  • All bus services will now run on a Saturday timetable until further notice. On routes where there is no Saturday or weekend timetable, extra services have been added.
  • On Sundays, the normal Sunday timetable will still apply.
  • All school buses have now been cancelled.
  • All Friday and Saturday Night Rider bus services have also been cancelled.

Please remember to enter and exit the bus through the back door during Alert Level 4 and tag on and off using your AT HOP card.

On Friday from 10.30pm, buses will replace trains on the Southern, Western and Onehunga Lines between Britomart and Newmarket.

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 August, buses will replace trains across all of the Southern, Western and Onehunga Lines.
