Kia ora,

The Government has announced that Auckland will move to Alert Level 2 at midnight on Wednesday 17 February.

What you need to know about transport in Auckland

As always, customer and staff safety are our priority. We’re making sure all public transport is cleaned regularly and have continued with spot check and antimicrobial cleaning. You’ll also find hand sanitiser stations at many locations, and we encourage you to use them.

Following the Ministry of Health Guidelines, it’s mandatory to use a face covering while on-board public transport if you are over the age of 12. There are no physical distancing requirements when on board a bus, train, or ferry. However, we encourage physical distancing where possible.

We recommend you scan the Ministry of Health’s NZ COVID Tracer app QR code, to assist with contact tracing should it be needed.

  • Timetables remain as normal, including school bus services. Use the AT Mobile app to check live departure and arrival information for buses and trains.
  • You can use the front door to get on board a bus, tagging on and off using your AT HOP card.
  • Cash will not be accepted. Click here if you need to get another AT HOP card online.
  • If you hear a triple-beep when you tag on or off, that means your AT HOP card is not registered. We recommend that you register your AT HOP card to help with contact tracing should it be needed.

Out and about in your neighbourhood

It’s great to see people out and about walking and cycling in their neighbourhood. The AT Mobile app now gives you directions that prioritise cycle-friendly routes using cycleways, shared paths, and quieter streets.

Touch-free payments for parking

With AT Park you can find and pay for a park from the comfort of your car. What’s more, you can adjust the time you need the park from the app, that way you only pay for the time you use. For more information or to download the AT Park app click here.

This is a service message to all registered AT HOP cardholders. Please note, this will not affect your current subscription preferences.
