Free guided rides

New season of free guided rides

Spaces will go quickly, so be sure to book yours today!

We’ve created four new guided rides especially for you, showcasing a selection of bike paths that can really take you places. Running from 6 May to 25 June, these free group rides are a great opportunity to develop your bike riding skills while having a whole heap of fun. We’ll bring a bike for you to use if you don’t have one, all you have to do is choose which ride (or rides) to join.

Don’t Panic, It’s Volcanic – Explore the excellent Puketāpapa paths linking local Mt Roskill schools and beyond.

Spring Fling – Discover some of Tāmaki Makaurau’s freshest bike paths in New Lynn, Avondale, and Western Springs.

Off the Beaten Track – Transport yourself between the growing Westgate centre, Waikumete Stream, and Tui Glen Reserve Playground.

Bike Train – Get to know Te Ara ki Uta ki Tai – the path of land and sea – that follows the Glen Innes, Meadowbank, and Ōrākei railway corridor.

All rides are approximately 2hrs long, with our professional guides there to lead the way and make sure you have a great and safe experience. Rides are suitable for confident riders who are comfortable on shared paths, cycleways and quiet roads.

Now open - New shared path on the North Shore

The North Shore’s newest shared path is now open, at nearly 6km long, it runs alongside SH1 from Constellation Station to Oteha Valley Road. You can find a map of the route here.

Connections at key locations – such as Arrenway Reserve within the Rosedale industrial area, Greville Road, and Constellation Station – help make this path a superb choice for getting around the local community or commuting to work.

Tell us about your ride on this new path and send us a photo. We’ll choose some to share in next month’s newsletter.
